SIC check out includes approximately 1.5 Hours of flight, (Normal & Irregular procedures) ground school and briefings. There is no FAA check ride for SIC experience (Log Book endorsement only)

The type rating is NOT guaranteed in this time frame and will depend on the pilots abilities. Additional flight time if agreed upon, may be charged at $1,900/ hour.

Minimum requirements: Private Pilot certificate with an instrument and multiengine land rating along with proficiency in both tail wheel and multiengine aircraft and a minimum 3rd class medical. If a pilot has bare minimum requirements, additional time may be required.

Allow three full days. Plan on arriving the day before. Ground school begins first thing in the morning at 7:30 am and is approximately 4 hours on day one. Dual flight instruction is 4 hours for PIC than approx. 1.3 hour check ride.

Deposit of $2,000.00 is required to secure class reservation, flight manual will be sent upon receipt. Check made out to (John Seibold/Ford Type Program) Please bring the balance in a Cashiers or Bank check to first day of training.

A successful completion of the type rating counts as an FAA Flight Review, use to be known as (BFR).

Make sure to bring , pilot certificate, drivers license, pass port if available, log book, camera, jacket, gloves in winter months and coveralls or clothing that just might get oily! and a big smile.

At this price classes will require a minimum of two students.

For additional cost and convenience, the airplane can be relocated to the Las Vegas, Nevada area where training and check ride can be conducted, rather than near the Grand Canyon in northern Arizona. This might provide more convenience for students with less travel time or for students with lower flight time and experience.

The aircraft will NOT be placed in any peril. If, during the initial stages of training, a deficiency in basic tailwheel or multiengine proficiency is demonstrated, the remaining flight time hours will focus on enjoying the Ford experience.

This program is conservatively based on the best available circumstances and assumptions regarding the applicants flying abilities, weather conditions etc.
